Woke this morning at 0700, nothing unusual about that, except for the fact that I went to sleep at 1900 hrs last night, that's almost 12 hours sleep, I must have been tired.
Once everybody was up and fed, all the chores were done and we made some plans for the day we
headed into St George to see the sights.
After the video he guides you through the gallery explaining the various eggs and the story behind them.
It turned out to be pretty good and well worth the princely sum of $9.00 for our family.
It is Sunday so most things were closed, after quick walk around St George we headed into the IGA for supplies and back to the CP.
I decided to to do a proper meal tonight so I got the camp ovens and claytons weber out, fire wood at the park was a little pricey at $15.00 for a small bag so we headed out the road a bit with the chainsaw and collected a roof rack full of decent timber.
Dinner tonight was two varieties of roast in the oven, veggies in one camp oven and a damper in the other, it all worked out well and fed us all, there were no complaints so i guess is was OK.
Day 3
Today we headed out to the Nindigully pub for lunch, its an easy drive out there taking about 30 min, it was pretty quiet when we arrived at 1130, no one at the pub and only a couple of campers on the river which is right next to the pub.
Looks like a decent spot for a night stopover.
The pub is really nice, a lot of character with heaps of stuff adorning the walls, there are hats and boots, and stuffed animals and much more to be seen.

The boys we entertained by two free roaming miniature horses wandering around the courtyard.
The burger arrived about 30 minutes later, which considering the size of the slab of meat in it was not bad, it was one BIG burger.
The "Road Train" burger was delicious, it came out with heaps of chips and the best onion rings ever, it fed all nine of us without any problem, well worth the $60.00 price tag.
Tonight its an easy dinner of sausages on bread around the open fire, another early night for me and in the morning we head for the Currawinya NP for three nights.
The verdict on the Kapunda Fishing Park, well I give it 7/10, I think it has potential, its in a great spot with sites right on the river, but its a bit run down, the facilities are limited with only two unisex toilet and shower cubicles, there is only one washing machine and no dryer, the facilities are also located a bit far from the sites on the river.
Our sites that were powered had had a few power points not working, and the fire pits which are a great idea were pretty rough, made up of broken besser bricks.
I would return for an over nighter but that's all, and we caught only a couple of undersized fish, I guess we cant blame the owners for that LOL.
So glad that you are having a great time on your adventure.
